Speakout 8/2

Just once

Mike I can think of a really, really good way that you probably haven't thought of, at least you haven't put it in your paper yet, to keep these unwed mothers from having all these babies. All we got to do is allow them one mistake. If they make another one they pay for it themselves. We don't pay for their second, third, fourth and fifth mistake. Better yet, we could just sterilize them and that way they don't have to worry about having any more babies nobody wants and can't take care of.

I have the intent to sue the city for civil rights violations. I was abused and slandered in 1996 medically all over Missouri and through Illinois. I have been slandered from store to store. If anyone knows of a good civil rights attorney that works diligently with his clients, please put the phone number in Speakout. I also intend to sue every merchant who has allowed themselves to be involved in this slander. And this is a legally warranted suit.

I would like to speakout about the Sikeston DPS. You would think after being victimized three consecutive days in a row that DPS could at least send a patrol car around the neighborhood. I have been out every evening for at least five hours every evening I have been victimized and I have not seen a single patrol car. I am a home owner and tax payer for 15 years and yet it's a shame I don't receive any justice because I live on the wrong side of town.

I wanted to know who to contact regarding complaints against the cemetery. There are a lot of articles in the paper about it, but who do we contact?

There are two separate active investigations now in progress. Call the Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Hotline at 1-800-392-8222 and the Office of Endowed Care Cemeteries at 573-751-0849.

I would like to know how some people get by with just mowing their front yard and don't mow their back yard that is over knee high on some of the streets on the housing property. I thought they we're supposed to keep everything really ship shape so everyone would look good. Some people aren't hardly able to mow and the others will stand out there and halfway do something and leave the back part of the house. I thought the code enforcement was supposed to do something about this.

I would like to say something to the anti-war person who wrote in and said the Iraq war is a stupid, unnecessary, immoral, obscene war, anyone who volunteers and goes over there is a dummy and fool. Well, I know a lot of dummies and fools in that case. My husband served, my father served and my uncle served this country to make it free. And I bless every man and woman who is over there fighting for our freedom right. And I would like to take this person, whoever it is, and sit them down right in the middle of Iraq and leave them there. Let them see what our boys and girls are going through.
