Couple stranded on river rescued

CARUTHERSVILLE - A couple stranded on the Mississippi River after their jet ski stalled was rescued today.

Just after 12 a.m. today, the Pemiscot County Rescue Squad and conservation agent Ray Garton responded to Reynolds Park in Caruthersville. Officers were informed that two local residents were overdue from returning from jet skiing on the Mississippi River.

After a short search, the couple was located on sand bar. They stated their jet ski stalled causing them to be stranded.
