Speakout 9/7

I just want to let all the parents in the Sikeston area know that there is a consignment store that has gone into business downtown that sells really nice children's clothing. I know by the time I get done buying my kids' school clothes each year, I have just about spent all my money. This year I bought all their school clothes at the consignment store and I saved a ton. The woman who owns it is very selective about the clothes that she takes on consignment so all the clothes I got are just like new. They don't have any stains or missing buttons or anything. I think that people in the community should support her because it would be really nice for people with kids to have a place where they can go and buy inexpensive like new clothing without having to break themselves financially trying to keep their children looking nice.

Former President George Bush should get his history books out and read them to his son and tell him he is not Franklin Roosevelt. And that he would not make a wart on Franklin Roosevelt's behind.

This is to all you people who keep complaining about the taxi place. You keep saying they are dirty, well I disagree. I ride in them all the time. I ride to work, to the doctor's office, wherever I need to go. I greatly appreciate them. They help my mother in the cab and out. They carry her groceries up to the door for her. They are very nice people. I have no complaints. That girl driver they got, I seen her wheel people in a wheel chair and put people in the cab out behind the hospital. So stop complaining about them.

I don't think Kennedy is a very good role model to go on television and show his face after what he has done to put President Bush down and talk about the kids in school. I don't think I would get on there and put nobody down if I had set the example he has set in front of everybody. That woman who is down there in Texas carrying on about her son. If she thought anything of her son, he volunteered for the National Guard and I know he was proud of it. She shouldn't be down there carrying on like she is, she just wants publicity. What they ought to do is arrest her and throw her in jail. Course somebody could get killed. They ought to send her to Iraq herself. I don't think that a lot of things that are going on should be going on. The lady that put in there about sharing rides, that's true. During World War II, you didn't carry insurance and you wouldn't have been sued if someone had a wreck and hurt somebody. People were all friendly and they weren't after the dollar like people now who lie to get this free stuff and everything when they are just as able to work as a lot of other people. I think they should stop and do a lot of checking on a lot of these problems that is in the world today. It used to if you had a friend, he was a friend and you helped that friend, but now they don't do that.

This is one opinion about the gas and why it is so high and everything. It is because there are so many more cars on the road today than there was in World War II. You look and get out and travel. I'm sitting here watching TV and cars, cars, cars. People don't have money to buy their groceries. They don't have money to pay their heating bills. But they all drive a big fancy car. They don't work and they are on the road all the time going. That is the reason. The people that don't work, have to travel. If some of them would stay home that don't work, gas would go down.

I'm calling in reference to the article, "Support sought." Good luck, I haven't got any support in one year and seven months. My ex-husband has a felony warrant also. They want you to all the investigative work then you still have to keep bugging them. I thought that is why the prosecuting attorney and child support enforcement has investigators for. I still don't think laws are strict enough. I know where you are coming from.

I'm calling from Texas about Cindy Sheehan over at Crawford, Texas. I believe by Wednesday she will go to Washington, D.C. and she will be blaming Bush for the weather we are having, the hurricane and all that in the Gulf states because he prays too much. And if she would like to do honor to her 24-

year-old son, she would shut her mouth. Thank you.
