Russell Hester

DELTA - Russell Hester, 65, died at 2:03 a.m. March 17, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 2, 1941, in Delta, son of the late Watson Russell Hester and Mary Immogene Sanford Hester, he was a retired mill wright and a member of Arbor General Baptist Church and the Advance Order of the Eagles.

Survivors include: one son, Mitchel Hester of the state of Mississippi; two stepsons, Jay McGuire of Cape Girardeau and Kevin McGuire of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Watson H. Hester and David K. Hester of Delta; and two sisters, Nancy Stoffregen and Ruth Ann Crader of Delta.

In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Kermit Patton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery in Delta.
