Lorene McMInn

EAST PRAIRIE - Lorene Lillie McMinn, 82, died at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 6, 2006, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born July 11, 1923, in Luxora, Ark., to the late Garrett Henry and Erma Long Moore, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County and was of the Pentecostal belief.

On March 23, 1946, she married James C. McMinn, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1989.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Reid and Cindy McMinn and Don Reynolds of East Prairie; one daughter, Diane Harwell of Memphis; two brothers, Schaeffer Davenport and A.J. Davenport of Eldon; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, LaShonda Evans.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Denny Cole officiating.

Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Lloyd Smith, Tommy Loomas, George Carter, Sidney Drummond, Johney Shoffner and Claude Thomure.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Bud Morgan, Bryle Hodge and J.D. Jackson.
