Edna Middleton

DEXTER -- Edna Chloteel Middleton, 81, died Jan. 26, 2006, at her home.

Born Sept. 24, 1924, at Essex, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Swinger Creed, she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Brethren at Frisco.

On Dec. 23, 1955, at Hernando, Miss., she married Charles Middleton who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Ronnie Middleton of Dexter; one daughter, Charlene Laird of Dexter; two sisters, Thelma Lindsay of Dexter and Lucille Lawrence of Windfall, Ind.; and two grandsons, Josh Laird and Jarret Laird of Dexter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Creed.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Harold Gass officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
