EAST PRAIRIE - Helen Margaret Sorrells, 98, formerly of Sikeston, died at 12:

32 p.m. Feb. 18, 2006, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 9, 1907, in Corning, Ark., to the late Raymond Oscar and Sarah Viola Hooper Cummins, she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Nov. 5, 1923, she married Leslie Albert Sorrells, who preceded her in death on March 30, 1984.

One daughter, Bonnie Louise Sorrells; three brothers; one sister; and one great-granddaughter, Courtney Sorrells, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill Sorrells and Bob and Betty Sorrells of East Prairie, Don and Bette Sorrells of Sikeston and Kenneth Sorrells of Wichita, Kan.; three grandsons, Stan Sorrells of Sikeston, Robert "Joe" Sorrells of East Prairie and Derek Sorrells of Wichita; and three great-grandchildren, Jennifer Sorrells and John Sorrells of East Prairie and Kyle Sorrells of Wichita.

Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Corning City Cemetery with Bob Medlock officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Joe Sorrells, Stanley Sorrells, Derek Sorrells, John Sorrells, Mike Hogan and Kevin Mainord.
