Lillie Dettrie

DEXTER - Lillie Mae Dettrie, 94, died Jan. 1, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.

Born July 31, 1911, at Waverly, Tenn., daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Ivy Florence Powers Guthrie, she was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany General Baptist Church near Campbell.

On Dec. 8, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., she married Kelsie Dettrie, who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband include: one half-brother, Dewey Guthrie; one grandson, Kevin Acord; one granddaughter, Latisha Farrow; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one son, Eddie John Dettrie; two brothers, Luther Guthrie and Wren Guthrie; one sister, Ethel Guthrie Hawk and one half-sister, Mary Lou Miller.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Revs. Bryan Johnson and Dawsey Lee Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
