The New Madrid County Family Resource Center would like to thank all who participated in the Christmas Angel Tree Project. Christmas presents were delivered to over 160 children in the New Madrid County area. SEMO Health Network donated food and personal care items to make baskets and they were delivered to 25 homes throughout the county.

Several activities were held to sponsor the Christmas Angel Tree Project at the Family Resource Center. The Winter Bazaar generated over $700 to purchase gifts for the Christmas Angel Tree Project. Breakfast with Santa was also held at the Center where area children came to tell Santa all their desires for Christmas and eat breakfast.

The 2006 Mr. and Ms. Snowflake winners and runners-up were: Mr. Snowflake, A.J. Smith, son of Tara Neal; first runner-up, Austin Campbell; second runner-up, Nathan Pipkin, son of Samantha Leach; and Ms. Snowflake, Ruby Rooker, daughter of Mary Rooker; first runner-up, Quinn Riley, daughter of Jane Dawson; second runner-up, Kristen Word, daughter of Shaun Wigfall.
