Letter to the Editor

Your view: Judge welcomed

Thursday, February 2, 2006

Dear Editor:

Thank God for the addition of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court! This should make the liberals howl, but it is a victory for the values of middle America.

Judicial activists have for too long controlled the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary. Their philosophy of Constitutional relativism is responsible for taking prayer out of our public schools, God out of the public square, and decisions like Roe v Wade.

The philosophy of Constitutional relativism is akin to religious liberalism which does not take the Bible literally and does not believe it is infallible. Both philosophies are a part of secular humanism and moral relativism. This philosophy is not mainstream America.

Yours for the Constitution,

Richard D. Swift
