Prove it

This is one of the highest rates of cancer than anywhere in the country? Where'd you get that? Prove it.

I read something in SpeakOut about the Cotton Carnival being downtown and I feel the same way. It would be nice to have it downtown like it used to be.

There is a road sign north of Scott City that says Jesus, long cheekbones, no beard. bangs. Could someone please explain to me what this sign means? Very strange.

I was calling to SpeakOut about that New Madrid football game with Perryville Friday night. I was at that game, and I have to say Perryville kept our boys out of the end zone quite a few times and they played pretty good ball. No matter what people say about them, they need to hold their heads up high because they're just going to get better and better each year. Central done the same thing last year. They were one and nine and they just got better and better.

I'm the lady that's looking for the place to live in Sikeston and I've got the little dog. The number is 667-5326 or 380-8497.

I'm calling about the Scott County raid that was in the October 23rd paper. I was picked up in that raid and my name wasn't in there and I just wondered if there was a misprint and why they'd leave me out?

I am calling about the person wanting the motorized wheelchair. They can reach me at 481-0490. They can leave a message and I will return their call. First name is Tracy.

Hello. To the person who answered my Columbus column, I would just like to inform them all the twelve years I went to school, I was always told Columbus did discover America in 1492. And if he don't believe that, I guess he don't believe the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock either. I guess some Japanese or Chinese or somebody else must have landed instead of the Pilgrims.

Good evening. I am just calling to say that I agree with that person, and I think Columbus did discover America in 1492. And also, Bush invaded Iraq. You need to get your facts straight.

I'm calling about the man who had the comment about the war and abortion. As a matter of fact, some man in here needs a wheelchair and if we don't watch it, some of our veterans may need a wheelchair when they come back from Iraq. Because President Bush is sending all those people over here and if this man thinks that's great, maybe he and his Dad need to reenlist and do some more time. I have also had cousins who fought in Vietnam and now there are clothes being shipped over here from Vietnam. And believe me, if I could buy them from somewhere else I would. Innocent people dying over there. If that man wants to reenlist, more power to him.
