CENTRALIA -- Debbie Lou Smithey, 49, died July 10, 2007, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.

Born Sept. 19, 1957, in Sikeston, the daughter of Charles and Lillian Brewer Williams of Sikeston, she had worked at various places and volunteered at the Central Missouri Food Bank and the Help Center. She was a member of Lockewood Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, survivors include: one son, Austin Maxwell Jr. of Mexico; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Andy Wehmeyer of Shelbina and Amy and Darren Thompson and Julia and Shanon Lindsay of Mexico; three brothers, Kenny Williams and Timmy Williams of Sikeston and Johnny Williams of the state of West Virginia; two sisters, Pamela Clifton of Moline, Ill., and Cathy Shepard of Jackson; three granddaughters and four grandsons; and her special friend, Ron Reams of Centralia, and a good friend, Joyce Riney.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Lockewood Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Jones officiating.

Pickering Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
