SIKESTON - Frank L. Sisson Jr. will head the new Rotary Club in Sikeston, which will have its charter night on April 1.

SIKESTON - Lee Wilson was elected exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge last night, succeeding Bob Ralph. Other officers were also elected.

SIKESTON - High school student council members will continue their mile of pennies drive for the Easter Seal campaign Friday. Junior members will work from 9-6 p.m. in front of J.C. Penney Co. and Woolworth's downtown, and at P.N. Hirsch Co. and Barkett's Big Star in the Midtowner Shopping Center.

CHARLESTON - Charleston High School seniors Cedric Rodgers and Paul Moore held aloft the first place Missouri 3A Boys Basketball trophy which the Blue Jays won in a close contest Saturday night. Charleston defeated Fulton 43-42 to earn their fifth state title, the most by a 3A school.

SIKESTON - The Missouri Delta Medical Center Foundations new officers are: Madeline Grant, secretary; Bruce Barnes, president; Jim Clay, treasurer; and John Hux, vice president.


NEW MADRID - Noranda Aluminum Inc., Primary Products and United Steelworkers of America, Local 7686, announce that U.S.W.A. members have voted 67 percent in favor of a new five-year collective agreement. The contract, which comes into effect on Sept. 1, was concluded after two weeks of intense early negotiations.


SIKESTON - Vicki Moore of VNA Hospice recently accepted a successful fund-

raising effort from Lyman Dale of Sikeston, who has raised nearly $15,000 in less than four years as a VNA volunteer. Despite an ongoing struggle with his own poor health, Dale continues to seek out individuals who might be able to help out the program.
