Dorothy Cline
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Dorothy Hodgkiss, Cline, 74, formerly of Sikeston, died at 3:16 a.m. May 21, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 7, 1932, at Sikeston, to the late Charles Thomas and Ella Mae Johnson, she was a cook for War Drum Restaurant in Sikeston, retired from Brown Shoe in Sikeston and attended Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
On Aug. 21, 1948, at Sikeston, she married William Leroy Hodgkiss, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1988. She then married Kenneth Cline on July 26, 1983, at Sikeston, and he preceded her in death in April 27, 1994.
Two sons, Kenneth Ray Hodgkiss and Dennis Lee Hodgkiss; one brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy Hodgkiss and Mike and Sharon Hodgkiss of Sikeston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Noah and Debbie and Lynn Petzoldt of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, William Johnson of Centerville, Iowa and Bob Johnson of Malta, Ill; and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Daniel Hackney will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.
Pallbearers will be: Darrin Pruitt, Chris Hodgkiss, Roy Hodgkiss Jr., Kenneth Hodgkiss II, Rob Petzoldt and Matt Petzoldt.
