Ed Dixon

SIKESTON - Ed Dixon, 60, died April 8, 2007, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born March 3, 1947, in Sidon, Miss., son of the late Emma Mae Dixon and Elijah Phiffer, he lived in Missouri for many years.

In December 1991, he married Lois Ellen Simpson who preceded him in death on May 2, 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Byron Dejuan Simmons of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Kawajalyn Elon and Roderick Collins of Jefferson City; two brothers, his twin, Ned Dixon of Sikeston and Tom Phiffer of the state of California; three sisters, Mamie Phiffer of the state of Iowa, Bertha Mae Tetts of the state of Illinois and Estella Phiffer of the state of Wisconsin; and five half-

brothers, four half-sisters and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Power House of God in Sikeston with the Rev. Betty Ware, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Warfield Cemetery in Oran.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
