Sharon Brown

ORAN -- Sharon Kay Brown, 47, died May 20, 2007, at the home of her special friend in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 28, 1959 in Advance, the daughter of Bob and Berdine (Cureton) Wilkerson, who survive of Sikeston. She was a private duty nurse, employed by Harris Management in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the Church On The Rock.

She was married to Darrell Brown, who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1984.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Darren and Kristina Brown of Oran and Kalab Brown of the home in Oran; one brother, Tim Wilkerson of Sikeston; one sister, Debbie Nelson of Benton; two grandchildren, Ciara and Jayden Brown of Oran; one niece, Crystal Nelson Morgan of Oran; three nephews, Travis Nelson of Benton, Jason Wilkerson of Maryville, Calif. and Bobby Wilkerson of Sikeston; and a special friend, Anthony Scheffer of Sikeston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church On The Rock, with the Rev. Curtis True, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Steven Morgan, Matt Palmer, Bobby Wilkerson, Tim Wilkerson, Jason Wilkerson and Randy Brown.
