BassBusters hold first tournament of season

KENTUCKY LAKE, Ky. -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their first tournament of the year on April 22nd on Kentucky Lake out of KenLake Marina.

Charlie Wade won the tournament with two fish weighing 11 lbs. 10 oz. which included the day's Big Bass, a beautiful 7 lb. fish.

Huston Fields was second with five fish weighing 10 lbs. 3 oz. and Mitch Allen took home third place honors with four fish weighing 10 lbs. even. Sherry Bonner won the "Lucky Drawing."

With the weather warming up and the lake rising, the contestants enjoyed a nice day on the water and several good fish were caught.

The club travels to Lake Barkley on May 6th for a tournament out of the Devil's Elbow ramp.

Owning a boat is not required for membership and new members are always welcome.
