Your view: Get to know God

Thursday, March 29, 2007

I think that it is good to finally see people to start realizing that God is your answer to everything without God you have nothing. Do you realize that God is the one that gives you the breath of Life everyday? I read the article someone put in the paper that you not only need to seek God but find a church and go there. And the person included towns like Oran and Vanduser. Well I go to The First Church of God in Vanduser and we have been trying to get the youth involved in so many things.

We have karate classes on Monday nights for anyone wanting to come, the cost is $30 per month taught by Travis Glueck and on Tuesday night we are having a children's church.

Did you know the ladies of that church worked for three years cooking every Thursday night to put up a Family Life Center for that community so the children would have a place to play basketball and do other things and due to the fact that a member of our church Terry Eskew being sick we stopped the dinners Dec. 16 and sad to say Terry went home to be with His Heavenly Father on Jan. 21, 2007.

His wife is our pastor and if you want to hear a good sermon come out some Sunday and hear her. We would like to invite everyone to come out and see what such a small church has done by the Grace of God. Our goal is to reach the youth and to get them involved in church activities.

But you know the biggest problem is the parents not bringing their children to church. I am so glad that I had a mom that made me go when I was little. I thought it was terrible then but it taught me a lot of values.

We are starting our dinners back up on April 5th and will have them every Thursday night. We had a vision of a Family Life Center and God showed us away to get it. Now we have a vision of a New Church and if it is God's will that will happen also. But we must pray and see if that is what God wants us to do.

In the Bible it says ask and you shall receive and it also says be still and know that I am God. If people would seek the Lord in all of their decisions and carefully pray about things their life would turn out much better. God does speak to us in a small quiet voice.

I have never know a pastor like Trish Eskew. Our church is like family when one hurts we all hurt when one needs help we all help.

Did you know that she preached her husbands funeral. She did that by the Grace of God.

She did it with such grace and dignity. She got her strength from the Lord. She was his pastor and as hard as it was she preached a powerful service. Now that takes strength that you could only get from God. We want to thank everyone that helped the Eskew Family through such a hard time but please people get in church.

If God had not intended for us to go to church there wouldn't be any.

The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ the son of God.

Easter is coming up and come out and join us if you don't have a church and see what is going on in our church.
