ORAN - Maybelle Blissett, 80, died March 31, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 10, 1926, in Tiplersville, Miss., to the late Franklin and Mabrie Thomas Moore, she had lived in Missouri for many years and was a member of Divine Temple Church of God in Oran.

On April 23, 1942, in Twist, Ark., she married Johnnie L. Blissett, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: 10 sons and nine daughters-in-law, Johnnie L. and Betty Blissett and Joseph and Barbara Blissett of Bowling Green, Ky., Aquilla and Mary Blissett, Charles Blissett, Michael and Kimberley Blissett, Phillip and Florella Blissett and Lee and Leisa Blissett of Oran, B.J. and Dorothy Blissett, Franklin and Dione Blissett and Douglas and Tonia Blissett of Sikeston; five daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Bean and Jo Ann Blissett of Sikeston, Betty Blissett of Oran, Linda and Pete Smith of Fulton and Virginia Blissett of Wyatt; one brother, Robert Garrett of Los Angeles; three sisters, Nellie Howard and Earnestine Gorder of Brawley, Calif. and Novella Johnson of Beloit, Wis.; and 34 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Dollye Blissett, preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Divine Temple Church of God in Oran, where services will be conducted at noon Thursday with Johnnie L. Blissett II officiating.

Burial will follow in the Divine Temple Memorial Gardens at Oran.

Williams Funeral Homes of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
