CAIRO, Ill. - Lorraine Elias, 84, died Oct. 17, 2006, at the Life Care Center Nursing Home in LaCenter, Ky.

Born Sept. 7, 1922, in Cairo, to the late Lafey and Lilly Khourie, she was part owner of the Elias Family Center in Cairo until her retirement. She was a member of Mighty River Regional Worship Center, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the AMICO club and the Alethean Class.

Her husband, Henry S. Elias Sr., preceded her in death.

One daughter, Paula Elias; five sisters, Maxine Khourie, Zacki Kouri, Pauline Sickery, Attur Jabour and Mary Hamra; and two brothers, Roger and Fred Khourie.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Pam Elias of Wickliffe, Ky.; one daughter, Beverly K. Elias of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; and two granddaughters, three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center. Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
