GIDEON - Thelma Dockins, 95, died Aug. 5, 2006, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born July 15, 1911, in Senath, daughter of the late Robert and Clara Ham Mattics, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon.

On Feb. 8, 1935, in Caruthersville, she married Baun Dockins who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1975.

Also preceding here in death were: one daughter, Wilma Sue Davis; two brothers, Alford Mattics and Ronie Mattics; and four sisters, Opal Palmer, Grace Ward, Mable Houston and Nellie Stroup.

Survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Ruby Dockins of Kennett, Terry and Jan Dockins of Gideon, Jerry and Virginia Dockins of Bloomfield and Donnie and Valerie Dockins of Poplar Bluff; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Gene Lancaster will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
