DEXTER -- Carl Ernest Alexander, 83, died Dec. 5, 2006, in the Florida Hospital at Wauchula, Fla.

Born July 19, 1923, at Bloomfield, son of the late William and Eva Miller Alexander, he was a retired switchman for Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Michigan; a U.S. Navy veteran; past master of the Genesee Masonic Lodge 174 at Genesee, Mich., where he was a life member; a member of the Flint, Mich., Shriners; and was of the Methodist belief.

On Dec. 27, 1945, at Seattle, he married Imogene Wilson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Joyce Alexander of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Gerald Huber of Elberton, Ga.; one brother, Virgil Alexander of Flint; one sister, Velma Wantland of Raymondville; and five grandsons and three great-

grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and will continue until time of services at 2 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Norman Ogles will officiate.

Burial will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
