Speakout 12/6

Wednesday, December 6, 2006

I reside on the west end of town, and from time to time there is loud music but it is not near as bad as what you make it out to be. I have lived here most of my life in the west end of town. I can truly say when an officer is called for disturbance on the west end of town, they are there. I have complaints of the DPS, but this is not one of them. I don't know how long you have lived here, maybe it will be best for you if you did leave town. A Sikestonian.

In response to Looking for Camille Stone, she can be located at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. You may inquire there. She was doing well as of three months ago. She's a real good friend of mine and she is 101 years old.

I was calling in reference to someone wanting to report illegal Mexicans piled up in apartment buildings and having babies. They shouldn't worry about having to report them because they have rights. They have just as much rights having babies as you, I and the President himself. And as far as them being illegal, don't worry about it. They take care of themselves. They don't go living off the system as half the people around here do. I'm pretty sure they work about 50 percent harder than what you do.

I'm calling to reply to Piled up having babies. I know exactly what you are talking about. You need to contact the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it's called ICE. The number is 1-866-347-2423. You just give them a call, they don't ask your name or anything. That's the number to report illegal immigrants.

This concerns the letter called Piled up having babies. Number one, how do you know these men are illegal? Do they have it stamped on their forehead? Is it because they speak Spanish or because they have brown skin? Number two, how do you know these are not the wives of these men? Who's to say they are even the fathers of these children? Well because of your letter, I think you are an ignorant, prejudiced bigot. What you are doing is called racial profiling. My son-in-law is from Mexico and he is a resident and a proud American. People like you continue the cycle of hate and prejudice in this country. Shame on you. What type of example are you giving your children or grandchildren? For shame. People like you make me sad to be an American.

Hello. I'd like to leave a message for the employees and manager at Wal-

Mart. One of the cashiers, Lorrie, helped me Monday afternoon. I was ill and couldn't take care of myself. She took care of me and saw to it that I had help from the management. I'd like to thank her personally and the management. I'd also like to thank an older couple who stopped and gave me sugar pills to help with my hypoglycemia. I really appreciate the help and don't know what I would have done without them. Thank you so much.
