Armed robbery suspects sought
SIKESTON -- Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery Wednesday at a pawn shop in downtown Sikeston.
An employee of Paul's Pawnshop called 911 Wednesday morning and reported an armed robbery at the business located at 116 N. Kingshighway, according to Sikeston Department of Public Safety news release. The employee said two subjects entered the business just after 10 a.m. Reportedly, one of the subjects had a firearm. The subjects took several items from the business and an undermined amount of cash. The offenders left in an unknown direction of travel, leaving the employee unharmed.
Sikeston DPS arrived at the scene less than a minute after the call. Officers searched the area for the perpetrators and gathered information from the victim. Sikeston's Criminal Investigations Unit processed the scene for evidence.
