Big hit from Lady Devil's Ancell defeats Perryville, 4-1

CHAFFEE -- The Chaffee Lady Devils softball team moved to 5-4 on the season Monday, defeating Perryville 4-1.

Chaffee got a lone run in the fifth before Shelby Ancell delivered a 3-RBI double in the fifth inning to put the Lady Devils up 4-0. Ancell finished the day 2-for-2 at the plate.

Perryville scored their lone run in the sixth inning as winning pitcher Madelyn Kiefer held the Lady Pirates in check for most of the game.

Chaffee will be back in action Wednesday when they take on Shawnee, Ill.
