Willie Smith

NEW MADRID -- Willie B. Smith, 62, died Sept. 13, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 16, 1946, in Ripley, Tenn., he was the son of the late George and Rosetta Smith Sr.

On Oct. 15, 1970, in Chicago, he married Joann Jones who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Roosevelt Smith of Chicago and Larry Smith of the state of Oklahoma; and four sisters, Ida Maben of New Madrid, Alberta Maben and Josephine Brown of Ripley, Tenn., and Marie Lloyd of Chicago.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home. Marilyn Bryan will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
