The Tigers scored first on a 12-yard run to make it a 6-0 lead. But, the Bulldogs answered right back with a 15-yard pass from Sam Erwin to Keldon Warfield. Rico Ivey ran in the 2-point conversion to give Sikeston an 8-6 lead going into halftime.
After a shutout in the third, Caruthersville regained the lead with about eight minutes left in the fourth quarter with a 2-yard run and the 2-point conversion.
The Bulldogs were unable to put another scoring drive together which ended with the 14-8 final score.
Sikeston will be back at home next Monday when the Jackson Indians roll into town. The game will start at 6 p.m.
