The last nerve

I agree with the SpeakOut commentator who said farmers work 10 times harder than the ordinary guy. For one thing, carpal tunnel syndrome is running rampant among many landowning farmers who own land all over the Bootheel. That is because of having to spend virtually all day raising and lowering their windshields.

In detail

I'm calling about the person that has been writing the obituaries for Charleston and East Prairie. They go into more detail about the person and did a fine job. I'm sure it helps the family with their grief and it let's us know a little bit more about the person.

Kerry had courage

John Kerry was a certified war hero. Those who spoke against him were angry because he had the courage to speak out against the war when he returned from Vietnam. In addition, many of his one time comrades turned critics were Republican political hacks associated with the demonizing and disgraceful organization known as Swiftboat Veterans. Sadly, they succeeded in helping to prevent Kerry from being elected president, leaving us stuck with one many consider to be the worst president in U.S. history.

Drugs can help

Don't throw the baby out with the bath wash. If used according properly, Xanax can help those who suffer from debilitating, chronic anxiety. However, Xanax is also subject to dependency, addiction and abuse. It must be used under careful supervision by a doctor.

Winter needs a drain

Good Morning Mike, need your help. Would someone let me know who I would get in touch with or what steps I need to take to get water drains installed on Winter Drive? The yards take forever to drain the water off and stay flooded most of the time. Winter Drive has no drains at all.

And the winner is. . .

The gas war is over, the gas won!
