Bootheel Counseling Services names employees of the quarter, year
SIKESTON -- Tammy Deen was chosen by her co-workers at Bootheel Counseling Services as the employee of the quarter for the fourth quarter 2008.
Deen was chosen for this award for her devotion to her job, respect shown toward her employees, efficiency in meeting deadlines, taking ownership in her responsibilities, and upholding the values of Bootheel Counseling Services.
She has been with the agency for nine years and currently serves as the Billing Supervisor.
Deen resides in Canalou with her husband, Gary, and three children, Daniel, Courtney, and Lindsey.
Also, Kiana Sanders was chosen by her co-workers at Bootheel Counseling Services as "Employee of the Year" for 2008.
Sanders was chosen for this award for demonstrating respect and empathy toward her clients. She is also recognized as an individual with high ethical standards and carries out the mission of Bootheel Counseling Services as her own.
She has been with the agency for four years and currently works as a case manager, providing treatment to adults experiencing mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
Sanders resides in Sikeston with her husband, John, and two daughters, Siana and Julia.
Ag Expo 2009 planned for Jan. 23-24
POPLAR BLUFF -- Ag Expo 2009, one of the largest farm trade shows in the region, is set for Jan. 23 and 24 at the Black River Coliseum.
The Expo will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 23 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 24 and admission is free. There will be about 118 booths for people to visit and learn first-hand about agriculture.
