Eagles soar past Dexter

NEW MADRID -- The New Madrid County Central Eagles prevailed on homecoming night, as they dominated the visiting Dexter Bearcats 64-44 Friday in New Madrid.

The Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 advantage in the first three minutes of the contest. The Bearcats found themselves down 25-13 at the 5:36 mark in the second quarter before a 7-2 run the put them within seven points. NMCC was able to stop the rally before it started and took an 11-point lead into the half, which they would only widen the remainder of the contest.
