Looking for an angel

Can the recently mentioned grocery angel reduce food prices?

No guide

Mike, I was very disappointed not to receive the weekly TV guide last week in my Sunday paper. Thought it was just a problem in the delivery to your paper. This week it is missing again. What's going on? I know the daily schedule is printed in the paper each day, but I sure liked having the separate guide to plan out my TV viewing for the whole week. Plus, I could find out what was on during the day along with a synopsis of the movies. Please say you'll be bringing back the separate TV guide!

As a paid subscriber to your paper, I would like to know why we are no longer receiving our TV guides in the Sunday paper? That is one of the main reasons I subscribe to the paper. I don't feel that that's right.

I'd like to know why they're not putting the TV guide in the Sunday paper anymore? That's the only reason I want it.

When are you going to put the TV guide back in the paper?

The complete TV section is available for subscribers in our lobby. Unfortunately, this costly part of our paper was not supported by national or local advertisers.

Bulls eye

Kathy Porter's hyper-rant holding the media hype responsible for getting folks all stirred up about a Sikeston-Scott County Central match-up was right on target. However, an outsider who might read all that has been written about the matter would likely think these were the two best high school basketball teams in America. That's hardly the case. On the other hand, one of the two teams will more than likely win the state championship while the other has a better than 50-50 chance of at least making it there. That's a state, not a national championship.
