January bids not 'solid' due to price fluctuations

BENTON -- A small demand for products used to repair roads may result in savings for Scott County this year.

"We're re-bidding our oil that we use on our asphalt applications, and also the coal mix asphalt that we use for potholes," said Jamie Burger, presiding commissioner. He and the other commissioners discussed the process during Thursday's regular meeting.
