Several injured in two accidents

SIKESTON - A sleepy driver had a rough awakening early Sunday morning.

At 5:50 a.m. Sunday, at the Sikeston City limits along Highway 60, Andrew W. Sitzs, 24, of Brownwood was driving eastbound when he fell asleep, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Sitzs' vehicle went into the median and overturned, ejecting the driver.

WILSON CITY - Four persons were injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday.

At 9:09 p.m. on Highway Y, .4 miles north of Wilson City, Claude L. Armstrong, 16, of Wilson City lost control of his southbound vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol's report. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
