Food bank looking into child feeding program

One in five children lives on brink of hunger

SIKESTON -- A pilot program targeting children with food insecurity could possibly hit the area when the new school year starts this fall.

"We're in the planning stages," said Karen Green, executive director of Southeast Missouri Food Bank. "We're looking at introducing a child feeding program into local schools."
