Final respects: A near-capacity crowd turns out for Hearnes service in Charleston
Sunday, August 23, 2009
Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol prepare to transfer the coffin of former Gov. Warren E. Hearnes into the waiting car following Friday's service at the First Baptist Church in Charleston. Several people turned out to pay their respects to Hearnes, including Charleston students, shown waving flags in the right photo, who were let out of school and bused to the processional.
