Flu postpones local school

CHARLESTON -- The flu has shut the Charleston R-1 school district down for the rest of the week, postponing homecoming.

A spokesperson at the for the school district at the superintendent's office confirmed today that all of Charleston's schools, kindergarten through grade 12, will not be in session today or Friday due to a high number of absences caused by influenza.
