BENTON -- Scott County does not appear to have any big changes in its flood plains.

That's what Joel Evans, flood plain administrator, and county commissioners found on Tuesday after reviewing the 69 updated map pages received by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

"There are some variations," said Evans. He said officials are now comparing the flood classifications to ensure the accuracy of flood classification designations for residents.

For further review, Evans said he has requested electronic copies of the updated maps.
