Fall golf tourney, auction help fund holiday cheer for needy

Money raised will be used for food and toys


SIKESTON -- Since taking over the "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Christmas campaign to help needy families almost five years ago, David McDermott has seen an increase in the number of referrals received each year.

But as the families helped is dependent on funds raised, the campaign organizer and deputy juvenile officer for the 33rd Judicial Circuit is working to ensure that all those referred will receive a little holiday cheer this year.
