CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County finally has some good news.

Junior DeLay, county clerk, updated the County Commission on disaster relief funding during their regular meeting Thursday.

Funds obligated in August by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for four of the county's recovery projects totaling over $62,000 have begun to arrive, according to DeLay.

A payment for one was received last week, two more this week and the fourth is expected to arrive early next week, he said.
