Electa Long
SIKESTON -- Electa Karma "McCoy" Long, 84, died Dec. 11, 2011, at the Bertrand Retirement Home.
Born July 12, 1927, in Jerusalem, Ark., to the late Chestor and Leona Robinson McCoy, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 2, 1948, she married James Ray Long who preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1953.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Eva Long of Addison, Ill., and Gary and April Long of Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Matt Long of Detroit, Julie Matthews of Indianapolis, Ind., and Grant Long and Alex Long of Kansas City; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale McFarland, pastor of the Grayridge General Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Dill, Mike Matthews, Matthew Long, Grant Long, Mike McCoy and Phil Puckett.
