Van Fisher

WILSON CITY -- Van Clifford Fisher, 52, died at 9:35 p.m. Jan. 2, 2012, in Charleston.

Born Dec. 9, 1959, in Wyatt to the late Willie Grissom and Vertie B. Fisher, he was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by three brothers, Richard Fisher of Charleston, Otha Fisher of Michigan City, Ind., and Terry Dowell of Fort Wayne, Ind.; six sisters, Vertie Mae Dowell and Verline Dowell of Charleston, Valorie Greer and Alice Marie Dowell of Michigan City, Ind., Yvonne Irene Dowell of Wilson City and Lori Ann Dowell of Austell, Ga.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral will be conducted noon Saturday at Ollie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson City with Rev. Richard Dowell officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
