CHARLESTON -- Billie Jean "Betty" Anderson, 58, died May 14, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 13, 1954, in Osceola, Ark., daughter of Pearllean Howard Anderson of Texas and the late Woodrow Anderson, she has lived in Missouri since 1957 and was a certified nurse's assistant for over 20 years and was currently employed at the Bertrand Nursing Center. She was a member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston.

In addition to her mother, survivors include: three sons, Michael Anderson of Cape Girardeau and Sidney Pittman and Cedric Anderson of Charleston; two daughters, Alecia Anderson of Cairo, Ill., and Sonia Anderson of Charleston; five brothers, James Anderson, Woodrow Anderson, Eddie Anderson and Marshall Anderson of Charleston and Lawrence Anderson of Yuma, Ariz.; seven sisters, Rosie Townsend of Texas, Patsy Anderson and Pearllean Anderson of Sikeston, Peggy Anderson, Shirley Anderson and Vienna Anderson of Charleston and Joyce Anderson of Washington; and 22 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church with Floyd Wade, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
