CHICAGO -- Ruby Lee Brown, 84, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died June 13, 2012, at the Mac Neal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Ill.

Born July 17, 1928, in Parma, Mo., to the late Alfonzo and Novella Cain, she had lived in Chicago for the past four years. She was a member of the New Home Baptist Church in Broseley, Mo.

She was married to Isaac Brown, and he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Versia L. Cross; and two sisters, Bertha Hall and Josephine Lyles.

Survivors include: one son, Jerry Williams of Chicago; one son-in-law, John Cross; three sisters, Earnestine Earthely, Rosie Primus and Elbertia Jarvis; four brothers, Arthur Cain, Willie Cain, Joseph Williams and Henry Williams; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Home Baptist Church in Broseley with the Rev. Ronald Hawes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Morocco-Providence Cemetery.

Driver Funeral Service of Sikeston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
