Fine-Free Week

Thursday, November 29, 2012
Sometimes it is best to think inside the box. When the Green girls had trouble reaching the bottom of the donation box for the Sikeston Public Library's annual Fine-Free Weeks they found a way to work together. Karissa handed cans to big sister, Chloe, who then passed them into Kaitlyn who from her prime spot inside the box could easily situate the canned goods. From today through Dec. 13, patrons can return overdue books, and with the donation of non-perishable food items or an unused toy, have their fines forgiven. Returning overdue books can help those in need

SIKESTON - A good deed by Sikeston Public Library patrons might not move them from Santa's naughty list to his nice list, but it will certainly put them back in good graces with the Library's staff.

During the Sikeston Public Library's Fine-Free Weeks, patrons will have the opportunity to return those overdue books, and to help out those in need at the same time.
