ESSEX -- Hazel Gisi, 90, died March 12, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Malden.
Born Jan. 22, 1923, near Essex, to the late Lawrence and Nora Warren Coffey, she was a teacher for the Grayridge Headstart Program and a member of Hopewell General Baptist Church.
On March 1, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., she married Harold Hubert Gisi who preceded her in death June 23, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Perry Gisi, three brothers, Orville Coffey, Russell Coffey and Loren Coffey, and one sister, Loraine Fraser.
She is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Gisi of Essex; by one granddaughter, Carrie Stephens of Burke, Va.; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Martin Goode officiating.
Burial will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.
