Not even a little respect

I am a New Madrid County Central Eagles fan. I think it was very disrespectful that the New Madrid County Central varsity baseball boys bring home a district championship plaque and they don't get five seconds of recognition considering that six of them boys on that team were seniors. The school board didn't even recognize these boys and the achievement they took on the day of graduation. I think they should have just as much respect as any other sport in New Madrid County Central. They should get the recognition that the football players get, basketball players get and any members of any other sports get. That's my opinion.

Expensive not always better

I see that the Sikeston School system has decided to get Apple iPads for every student. I wonder if they are aware of the disadvantages of the Apple iPad products. They are 2-3 times more expensive than other brands of tablets. They don't play flash video. They don't have external storage and you cannot expand the memory. Apple iPads have many disadvantages. If you just want to look at pretty pictures all day, they are great. But if you want to do other things, they have lots of limitations. And they are way too expensive. It's like having a Cadillac or a Lincoln, it's nice to say that you own them, but they can't do the things that other products do. You better rethink this because it could be a very expensive mistake.
