Tri-County falls in South Pem. bracket

STEELE -- Playing two games in the South Pemiscot Invitational tournament, the Tri-County summer baseball team split between South Pemiscot and Halls, Tenn., Thursday at South Pemiscot High School.

Tri-Co. defeated South Pemiscot 13-4 in six innings and fell to Halls, Tenn., 8-1 in four innings behind 10 Tri-Co. errors. Both games were cut short by the tournament time limit.

Brandon Bixler earned Tri-County's first win on the mound after four innings. He allowed three runs on three hits and five walks while striking out four.

Jordon Pavy was a home run away from the cycle during a 3 for 3 day at the plate. Landon Nolan added three RBIs.

Reid Morgan led Tri-Co., with a double against Halls, Tenn.

Tri-County will play today at noon against Neelyville in the loser's bracket.
