Genetically modified sweet corn

Friday, July 12, 2013
Volunteers with Mission Missouri in Sikeston pick genetically modified sweet corn from Mike Geske's field in New Madrid County. Geske, a Matthews farmer and ex-officio director of Missouri Corn Growers Association, received enough seeds from Monsanto to sample 1 acre of the new variety, which is now ready for harvest and being distributed to local charitable organizations.
