Jaycees utilizing social media to get word out
SIKESTON -- This year people not only loved the annual Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, they also "liked" it a lot.
When Zach Fayette, advertising and publicity chairman for the Sikeston Jaycees, was contacted early this week, he reported their Facebook page had just broke the 10,000 mark.
By Friday, the page was showing nearly 12,700 "likes."
"We've had the Facebook page before but this is the first year we've really delved into it," Fayette said. "And this is our first full year with everything -- Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine."
