Lady Bulldogs volleyball notches first win

SCOTT CITY -- Behind 15 digs from Lauren Beydler and five kills from Esther Chinwuko, the Sikeston Lady Bulldogs volleybal team pulled off its first win of the season Thursday at Scott City, 25-14 and 25-20.

"No mattter where or the circumstances, it's always nice to get it," Sikeston head coach Steve Beydler said about their first win. "Now, hopefully, we can stop worrying about it and move on."

The Lady Bulldogs (1-11-1) added nine assists from freshman Tori Helms as well as three aces and six digs from Grace Hamra.

Ricci Tidwell had four kills, Sedara Williams added two kills and a block while Kalli Williams also had two kills.

Sikeston will host Charleston Monday for their next game.
